Offering this extremely rare 1950’s Lytespan tension pole lamp designed by Gerald Thurston for Lightolier. Track lighting was invented by Lightolier and with the help of Gerald Thurston, they created the tension pole lamp with track turned vertical! This particular lamp includes a glass cone shade adjustable task lamp and a large metal saucer reflector shade lamp at the top. They connect to the track by a lever just like the ceiling version. At the time, you could purchase different variations of lighting, a table surface and even a plant holder that would attach to the track. A very hard-to-find piece of MCM lighting. The lamp works easily with an 8’ ceiling. No manufacturers labels present.

Dimensions: 17.5ʺW × 20ʺD × 100ʺL
